Marshall Michigan – Diggin in the poo….
… had another good dig this weekend (5/15/2016), in Marshall, Michigan that included a cache of coins ( they where in a “thunder pot” which is the name for a chamber pot)…not sure what they where doing in there and why a cache?…it was an 1850’s pit so we are excited to put them through electrolysis to see what they are…they where large coins so we are thinking they are all 2 cent pieces. We also dug a rare Dr. Kellogg’s rootbitter bottle which is even potentially a better find as these go for $16,000. …the last interesting item is something we have never seen before as well…it was a terracotta bank fully intact.
